St. John's Reformed Church

Expounding the Word of Christ for the glory of Christ under the Lordship of Christ and exposing the contrary, so that the body of Christ is equipped for life in this fallen world.

Expository preaching involves explaining the text, the sound doctrine from God within the context of all His Word, and applying it faithfully to all areas of life as it addresses everything from self, home, church, and civil/society for all of life therein, so as to anchor the truths of the Law and Gospel within the heart. Though we deeply love the Canons of Dort, Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, Westminster Standards, and we strive for the unity in all of them, we adhere closest to the conveyed truth that is set out in the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith and the Baptist Catechism written by Benjamin Keach (1640-1704).
Other distinctives from the pulpit are Reformed Baptist Covenant Theology, Theonomy, Postmillenialism, and the Abolition of Abortion. Even though there may be strong convictions held by those who preach here, we recognize that not everyone in the pew will hold the same view on these matters.

Ministries

From the first Sunday in March to the last Sunday in November adults and children can grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ by attending our afternoon classes from 4:00pm to 5:15pm. There are 4 different classes offered during the month on a rotating structure (5 if there is a 5th Sunday in a month). We also share in a meal on every 1st Sunday of each month.

We engage in the effort for the biblical abolition of abortion with equal justice and equal protection. Every human being should be protected from the unjust killing of another human being, which must include the preborn. This is why we call for justice through law for those guilty of murder and go to the places of child sacrifice in an effort to rescue and hold back (Proverbs 24:10-12).

FLINT is a series of Saturday seminars designed to make ready young Christian men for duty, fidelity, and dominion, offering practical fatherly wisdom in areas that are critical for life in the years ahead. We need men who have a mindset of masculine responsibility and have set their faces to accomplish the tasks God has created them for, even in the face of great adversity.
